AFS has released its 2025 Water Footprint Report, prepared as part of the company’s commitment to transparently monitor and reduce its environmental impact while advancing its sustainable production approach.
As one of the leading brands in the HVAC industry, AFS continues to pursue its sustainability goals with a strong focus on the conservation of natural resources and the creation of a more sustainable future. Having pioneered carbon footprint reporting practices within the sector, the company has now entered the third year of its water management reporting journey with the publication of its 2025 Water Footprint Report.
Prepared in accordance with the ISO 14046 Water Footprint Standard, the report provides a comprehensive overview of water consumption and water management performance across AFS’ manufacturing facilities in Ankara. According to the report, the company’s total water footprint was calculated at 15,595.4 m³, while per capita daily water consumption was approximately 83 liters. AFS noted that the average daily water consumption per capita in Ankara was reported as 270 liters in 2024. The significantly lower figure recorded across the company’s operations demonstrates the positive outcomes of its ongoing efforts to improve resource efficiency and promote responsible water use.
As one of Türkiye’s leading exporters of flexible air ducts, exporting to nearly 100 countries worldwide, AFS continues to strengthen its sustainability agenda through investments in renewable energy, zero-waste practices, and environmental performance reporting. The protection of water resources remains one of the company’s key corporate priorities.
Commenting on the report, Ahmet Poyraz, Deputy General Manager of AFS, said:
“At a time when pressure on global water resources continues to intensify, we believe businesses must assume greater responsibility in managing and protecting this vital resource. By entering the third year of our water footprint initiatives, we are not only monitoring our environmental performance on a regular basis but also identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Our 2025 Water Footprint Report is more than a measurement of our current performance; it also serves as an important guide that strengthens our corporate awareness of water efficiency. Our goal is to minimize our impact on natural resources while continuing to grow our operations and to build a more sustainable future together with all our stakeholders.”
Looking ahead, AFS aims to further enhance its water management performance through employee awareness programs, water-saving initiatives, and investments that improve resource efficiency. By continuing to report its environmental impacts transparently, the company remains committed to fostering a culture of sustainable production and contributing to a more sustainable future.
